Journal Author Guidelines


The Journal of Mental Health Counseling (JMHC) publishes articles on all aspects of practice, theory, professionalism, and research related to clinical mental health counseling. AMHCA consists of clinical mental health counselors, educators and supervisors, and researchers interested in advancing knowledge and practice in mental health. Articles should include a detailed discussion of implications for clinical mental health practice.


Write For the Magazine


The Advocate Magazine primarily features in-depth articles invited from experts in the mental health counseling field. These lively, informative articles are designed to give readers ideas for working with clients more effectively or running their practice more efficiently. Articles are due no later than six weeks prior to the issue date. The magazine is published quarterly in Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.
