So what's really going on?
Good question. Even before the 2016 Presidential election, there's been a lot going on in terms of promises, news, ideas, proposals, prophecies, projections, and perspectives. Current technology - social media, the internet, 24 hour news, all help contribute to our understanding and viewpoints but this overwhelming dearth of information, can also help create frustration and potential confusion.
I came across this article on HealthPayer Intelligence, an on-line B2B newsletter this morning and thought I'd share. This newsletter is part of a larger healthcare B2B (Business-to-Business) media company that they purport will "use data to deliver relevant content" to their readers" - Xtelligent Media.
It's includes an article and info about a recently proposed ACA (the Affordable Care Act) Modification & Replacement legislation- You can CLICK here to read about one example of current Proposed ACA Replacement   
Just as a point of clarification, I'm not formally endorsing this on-line media company,  their newsletters or this particular legislation. 
My goal is to let you (our very important AMHCA member) know that at AMHCA, we work together as Board of Directors, and in our Public Policy and Legislation (PP&L) Committee to discuss current issues, legislation, CMHC (Clinical Mental Health Counselors) needs and address advocacy and strategies for our Clinical Mental Health Counseling Profession.
AMHCA and PP&L's primary goal and objective is to work to inform our members and State Chapters, advise on federal legislation and policy initiatives, advocacy projects and work to advocate for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling profession. We will work diligently to keep you informed and let you know about all of the important progress in Washington, D.C.. Your membership has value and is important. We will work diligently to keep you updated on what's new's, what's important and where's the progress in terms of the legislative and policy front. We will always let you know AMHCA's position and how we will "rally the AMHCA troops" to help advocate for important legislation for CMHCs.
