We believe in the current climate advanced practice clinical counselors with specialist skills are in increasing demand. Both the public and insurance providers are looking for counselors who have acquired cutting-edge training and clinical abilities.

The AMHCA Professional Credentialing Certification

The AMHCA credentials are for LCMHCs who are independently licensed and currently practicing. These credentialing certifications provide evidence of increasing professional competence and expertise that convey to clients that an LCMHC holds independently recognized competencies.

These credentials honor your education, hard work, certifications and experience. They are envisioned to represent who you are and what you do in your path while getting certified and being qualified.

The AMHCA Credential Certification Board is excited to announce the full reinstatement of AMHCA’s credentialing programs, beginning January 1, 2026. This relaunch strengthens AMHCA’s commitment to recognizing excellence in clinical mental health counseling practice, education, leadership, and specialization.
